TurnBackTheClock.org is a global network of citizens and scientists making the world safer for future generations by presenting solutions through interactive ideas, discussions and debates.
Project Info
On Thursday, January 14, 2010 in a live streaming event for the Doomsday Clock announcement at TurnBackTheClock.org, the organization's new advocacy site, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists moved the hands of the clock from 5 to 6 minutes before midnight. The announcement was shown live to over 10,000 online viewers and garnered over 250,000 unique visits in the first week.
The site provides a platform for community ideas, discussions and debates in attempts to provide real change in the areas of nuclear weapons, climate change and biosecurity. Portions of the site were donated by THOMAS ALAN design agency.
